About

A different kind of conversation about medicine.

Kayva Journal is an editorial and educational publication associated with Kayva Health. It explores medicine, clinical ideas, scientific discoveries, healthcare innovation, medical education and lived experience.

What we believe

Serious, not stuffy
Medicine deserves a publication that takes evidence seriously without looking like a 1998 database portal.
Readable by everyone
A 20-year-old student and a 70-year-old reader should both finish an article feeling clearer, not smaller.
Honest about review
Editorial review and clinical review are real and named. We don't dress them up as formal academic peer review.
Independent of the product
Kayva Health publishes the Journal. The Journal does not exist to sell Kayva Care.

Who it serves

Students who want to publish somewhere they're proud of. Clinicians who want to think out loud. Caregivers and curious readers who want medicine explained with respect.

Publisher

Published by Kayva Health, which develops technology for more connected and person-centred care. The Journal has a broader editorial purpose and is worth reading independently of the company's products.

No ISSN, indexing, accreditation or editorial board is claimed at this stage. For Journal enquiries see Contact.
